Overview

A fast, comforting pasta dish built on butter, garlic, and restraint.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Dried pasta (spaghetti)
  • 3 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper (to taste)
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Tools

  • Large pot — Stovetop, For boiling pasta
  • Colander — Prep, For draining pasta
  • Saucepan or sauté pan — Stovetop, For garlic butter sauce
  • Wooden spoon — Utensils

Instructions

Boil pasta until al dente. Melt butter with garlic over low heat. Toss pasta with butter, pasta water, salt, and pepper. Finish with cheese if desired.
